Hildegard, Reborn
A play with music about St. Hildegard von Bingen
Hildegard, Reborn is Rocky Duval's first play, a celebration of the life and music of St. Hildegard von Bingen, the 12th century abbess, composer, writer and healer.
Rocky arranged Hildegard's music for the show and composed new pieces based on Hildegard's style and texts. The production premiered to a sold out house at Lincoln Center, sponsored by the NYPL Library for the Performing Arts, in spring 2024.
